I love the Garand. It may not be the all powerful master of the universe some say, but if you have handled one, the experience stays with you. A classic. I love them.

Quite true, Tranter, just as long as you remember that thumbs and Garand loading mechanisms can be rather antagonistic if you're not careful! PS: The loading mechanism always wins!

Got scars on top of my left thumb,
.22 Llama on a 1911 type frame,
was on the hood of a pick up tearing
thru the high desert in royal county
shooting jack rabbits. I was used to a wheel gun
Sliced me up pretty good.
Learnt something that night

I have many favourites, but I'll start with this one my copy 158 out of 500 for 2010 of a Red Arrows print signed by all pilots and received by the cdr

Very interesting Tac. I was unaware that Italy maintained an air demonstration team similar to our Blue Angels and Thunderbirds.

Thats the British acrobati team, in italy we have the Frecce Tricolore..

Ok, thanks, Tac. I didn't notice the British RAF emblem in the photo but should have. What sort of aircraft do the Frecce Tricolore use for their exhibitions? I know Italy builds aircraft of its own.
