Northern New Mexico or southern Colorado is where I want to go when I die. Meh, maybe a little before I die.

Oddly, I rather fancied northern Arizona to die in. Seems like the sort of place I would like to spend eternity wandering around in.

Grazie Signore gentili. There is no doubt about my needing lessons in Italian, that's for sure! I've never actually studied Italian, but I do teach Latin, so I can usually puzzle out Italian or write a short sentence in the language with the help of a good English/Italian dictionary. It is a very musical language and pleasant to the ear, not unlike Spanish. Its grammatical rules resemble Latin quite a lot, and the vocabulary obviously contains many similarities. When I visited Italy a few years ago, I was usually able to figure out simple things like store and street signs, or menu items.

By the way, Tac, your English is very good indeed, especially assuming you are a native Italian speaker. My compliments, Sir.

One of the most beautiful places I've seen was on Rt 40 just west of Flagstaff, AZ. It was like a large valley high in the mountains. I had this urge to tell me ex I'm getting out here..you keep driving.

I hope to get back there one day...the sooner the better.

I know it well ROMT, very well. It was an area I fell in love with long ago.
